CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Undertakes his duties in full compliance with Company HSE management system, HSE regulations, operating & maintenance procedure and the permit to work system.

  • Carries out routine maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of electronic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical works associated with all instrumentation, ESD and control systems in various operating areas on Island.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Secondary Technical Certificate, plus 2 years of formal training in electrical, electronic, or instrumentation technology related to control systems.

  • 5 years experience in the maintenance and repair of pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.

  • High technical command of the English language (both spoken and written) required.

  • Must be capable of working independently to analyze and rectify faults on complex electronic and pneumatic instrumentation.

  • Shall have a reasonable knowledge of hazardous area classification concepts and certified electronics apparatus.

  • Shall be proficient at reading and understanding P & I diagrams, writing, logic and cause & effect drawings.

SAFETY SPECIALIST - DRILLING (IRAQ)

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Lead the Drilling HSE team including the Well Services Contractor HSE staff. Supervises and coordinates the Drilling Site Safety issues which include company's HSE strategies, Drilling Site HSE plan and budget, the implementation of HSE management system.

  • Technical advisor in leading and continued implementation of applicable drilling industry standards relating to Risk Management, relevant strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Participate in activities of various aspects of HSE management systems; ensure compliance with applicable Risk Management and HSE standards and requirements; and ensure that best practices are appropriate in the organization.

  • Develop a strong safety culture within the work force.

  • Activities may include inspections, assessments, safety meetings, risk identification, risk analysis, risk assessments, incident investigation, incident reporting, environmental issues and compliance.

  • Participate as an advisor and coach to site personnel who are on the drilling sites, workshops and work-related areas, and ensure that the activities are in accordance with industry standards.

  • Conduct audits; assist in development of audit protocols, manuals, audit-related checklists.

  • Assist in the development of company HSE procedures.

  • Roll out to company’s personnel new procedures & systems and provide ongoing guidance.

  • Provide directions, leadership, data interpretation, and technical assistance to management and operations.

  • Conduct on site training and drills as applicable.

  • Develop training materials based on industry best practice, local legislation and company procedures.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • B.Sc. Degree in Engineering or above (in a related discipline preferred).

  • Minimum 8 years experience in safety or well drilling field.

  • Communication and leadership skills in working with other site departments and other organizations and outside regulatory agencies and industry bodies.

  • Understanding of site operations and their respective Safety concerns and requirements.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Good knowledge of computer software applications.

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Lead the Site Environment Section. Supervises and coordinates the Site Environmental issues which include company's Environment protection strategies, Site Environment plan and budget, the implementation of HSSE management system.

  • Manage the Environmental Specialists/Engineers team.

  • Responsible for implementation of Environmental Monitoring programs including maintenance up to date compliance requirements.

FIRE SAFETY SPECIALIST (IRAQ)

Purpose and Scope: 

  • The primary role of the post holder is to manage all aspects of fire safety, fire prevention, fire safety training of staff and provision of professional fire safety advice.

  • Act as the specialist for all fire safety matters and contribute to the development of site strategy and implementation of effective processes, procedures and systems.

  • To design, develop benchmark and deliver effective fire training workshops (classroom, face-to-face, ward based, etc) for all staff, including contractors, agency, not directly employed by the company.

  • To plan, observe, assess and report on regular fire drills for all premises occupied by company staff.

  • Shall ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained fire wardens for each area within each building and facilities.

  • To advise staff at all levels on all fire safety related matters pertaining to premises owned or occupied by the company

  • Will carry out regular inspections and audits of all site spaces to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices.

  • To review a number of fire risk assessments each year.

  • To maintain accurate records of all fire safety activities in accordance with company procedures.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (in a related discipline preferred).

  • Minimum 8 years experience in fire safety field.

MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Carries out mechanical maintenance and repair activities on the Central Production Complex (CPC) and WHPs on various types of machinery and equipment, either independently or as a team member.

  • Receives assignments and instructions of work to be carried out. Reviews work assigned, arrange for necessary materials, tools, equipment and assign tasks and follow up until satisfactory completion.

  • Assists supervisor in inspecting and diagnosing faults on pumps, valves, gear boxes, etc., checking for corrosion, bent or cracked parts. Carries out routine servicing such as replacement or adjustment of filters, changing oil, lubricating and cleaning parts.

  • Carries out routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, compressors, diesel engines, rotating equipment and heat exchangers. Reinstall repaired units on locations and carry out test runs as necessary.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Completion of Secondary technical (12 years) education (Science)

  • 5-7 years experience in general mechanical maintenance.

  • Good knowledge of English.

SR. INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Directs and participates in the repair, overhaul and calibration of process control equipment on site or in workshop. Includes systems such as fire and gas detection equipment, turbine control systems, wellhead hydraulic safety system, and ordinary control system e.g. pressures, temperature, levels, etc.

  • Uses various types of tools and test equipment such as basic handtools, multimeter, pressure calibrators and specialized test control equipment.

  • Work is carried out in pneumatic, electronic and hydraulic equipment. Refers to drawings as required.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Completion of Secondary (technical) education (12 years) followed by 2 years advanced vocational training in Instrumentation systems.

  • 7 years experience in the maintenance, repair and calibration of a variety of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation, preferably in the oil industry.

  • Good knowledge of English.

  • Age between 30-40.

OFFSHORE RIG MOVER

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Directs marine activities for the towage and positioning of drilling and maintenance jack-up rigs within COMPANY'S concession areas.

  • Advises towers and pipelines ops. team leader on all marines related activities in the field.

  • Supervises other major marine offshore operations within company areas including locating of heavy marine units (crane barges, construction jack-ups..etc).

  • Supervises and controls contracts vessels activities engaged in field operations and seabed inspections.

  • Monitors, inspects, audits & advises on all loss control aspects related to marine operations.

  • Coordinates controls and implements complex agreed plans and schemes related to marine activities.

  • promotes marine standards and procedures awareness to site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

For UAE National:

  • Bridge Watch Officer Certificate of Competency STCW 95 11/1 (Academic Standard of B.Sc. in Marine Science) & have completed and company approved training scheme targeted towards the post.

For other Nationals:

  • Master Mariner Certificate of competency STCW 95 11/2 (Academic Standard of B.Sc. in Marine Services).

  • 7 years experience in Marine Offshore Operations including Tug Master’s experience preferably with knowledge of company’s operational areas. Offshore towage pilotage and positioning of Jack-up Rigs.

  • At least 4 years experience in offshore vessel operations in senior capacity. Preferable experienced in Mooring Vessel.

  • Very good knowledge of English Language.

  • Age: up to 50 years.

Salary Range and Other Benefits:

Purpose and Scope: 

  • Provides technical support to process operation, utility and maintenance teams, to ensure continuous, efficient and safe operations by; studying and suggesting plant modifications, monitoring/following-up and controlling implementation of major overhauls and new projects, monitoring and assessing chemical consumption.

  • Monitors operational performance of plant & equipment, process systems, etc.

  • Degree in Chemical engineering or equivalent.

  • 8 years experience in oil/petrochemical production/processing plants of which at least 3 years in supervisory capacity.

INTEGRITY COORDINATOR (ATM/IA)

Purpose and Scope:  

  • The Integrity Coordinator will be focused on meeting the requirement of COMPANY ‘Asset Integrity Policy’ and AIRMS Framework for ensuring the technical assurance processes, systems and implementation plans are in place to manage the Integrity of Plant Assets. He will ensure appropriate & constant implementation of agreed procedures and monitor Site Integrity Key Performance Indicators.

  • Assist with implementation of Asset Integrity Policy and AIRMS compliance driven programs, policies and procedures. 

  • Report Integrity and Reliability performance on Critical Systems and Equipment including Integrity Management Systems and report that Operations, Maintenance, Inspection examination and testing regimes are as per Company Integrity and Reliability requirements. Shall compile the Plant IA performance and report the same to Plant Management and IA Division.

  • Compiles and Monitors all Plant IA items / issues and advise Plant Management on status and coordinate resolutions accordingly.

  • Check & Report that CMMS and IDMS are effectively maintained by entering historical degradation and failures on Plant, Equipment, Units and components leading to implementation of appropriate preventive and corrective actions.

  • Check that Maintenance, Corrosion and Inspection activities in relation to Integrity threats and ensure the risks to be ALARP.

  • Share & Exchange Plant IA knowledge with other IA Site Coordinators and colleagues including Information on Integrity Assurance issues, concerns and best practices.

  • Liaise with Reliability, Operations, Maintenance & Inspection teams to assist with RCAs and implementation of proposed solutions.

  • Leads or participates in level 1 audits within Plant and facilitate Level 2 and 3 audits. Record the recommended actions in GRIATS and ensure the required follow-up.

  • Advises Plant Management, in liaison with others, on all issues related to competencies of employees / adequacy or resources related to IA. Assist in development and updating of necessary IA management procedures including definition of responsibilities for actions and follow-up.

  • Shall be the custodian for all IA enhancements proposals or threats within the Plant.

  • Ensure that repairs and modifications to equipment and system were designed in accordance with appropriate codes, with materials selection according to the design requirements. A register of changes and deviations is kept, with verification that the solution gives acceptable levels of risk (ALARP) and effective PCR management procedure is applied.

  • Attends / represents the Plant in the IA periodic meeting within the new IA forum.

  • Provide input in identifying Key Performance Indicators. Monitor and report IA KPIs, provide guidance, retain appropriate compliance records documenting any non-compliance with executed corrective actions.

  • Coordinate and deliver Integrity Assurance training / awareness within the plant for direct hire and contractors generally and UAE Nationals specifically.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in the field of Mechanical or Inspection with good experience in the Integrity of fixed equipment and rotating equipments.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Inspection/Mechanical engineering.

SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR (TECHNICAL)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University.

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the refining industry. Deep familiarity with refining process operations, Technical Services, Inspection, Engineering standards and their use, modern management systems, process safety and HSE.

  • The position of Senior Internal Auditor is the second level of the IAD organizational hierarchy reporting to Internal Audit Department Manager.

  • The job holder is responsible for planning, conducting and leading technical refinery audit work independently and communicating the results to the concerned party that requires caliber with adequate understanding of audit activities spectrum and sufficient knowledge of industrial practices and standard to enable him / her to identify the business risks. 

  • The job holder should also posses the skills, expertise and proficiency to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the technical, operational, financial and administrative management and control systems in a professional standard, the internal audit code of ethics and relevant engineering standards and best practices.

  • The incumbent should be highly skilled in communication techniques and audit report writing. The job requires tact in reviewing deficiencies with the concerned personnel and obtaining explanation of and reason for such deficiencies together with eliciting recommendations for improvement.

  • Very good knowledge of English and Arabic.

CONTROL GAS TURBINE SENIOR TECHNICIAN

 Purpose and Scope:  

  • Carry out all control / instruments (except Fire & Gas system) activities on gas turbines, High pressure Water injection Pumps and Auxiliaries, such as maintenance, repair, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, reports on failed components, modules, cards, etc.

  • Obtain work permit from Area authority, examine faulty units and establish requirements for tools, parts and materials necessary to carry out the work.

  • Carry out preventive, predictive, breakdown, and routine maintenance on gas turbines control systems using correct tools and equipment.

  • Participate in major overhauls and carry out all control / instruments aspects of recommissioning work.

  • Issue comprehensive daily activity reports outlining the cause of the fault, the nature of the work and the materials, labour and time taken to complete the task.

  • Ensure that all tools and test equipment are kept clean and calibrated.

  • Ensure that site emergency stock is kept at an acceptable level.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted within company standing instructions and procedures, and manufacture’s guidelines.

  • Observe and follow company HSE Procedures to ensure work is carried out in a safe manner. Exercise good house-keeping practices.

  • Participates in UAE Nationals ATI Graduates development – as directed by Line Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary Technical Education (12 years) plus 2 years Advanced Vocational Education in Instruments / Controls / Elector-mechanics / /Micro-processor.

  • 8 – 10 years maintenance experience on Gas Turbines Controls, plus specific manufacture’s training on Company machines Controls / Instruments.

  • Good command of English language, written and spoken.

 Purpose and Scope:

  • Possession of a valid UAE driving license.

  • Good knowledge of English and Arabic languages.

  • Remote area allowance at the rate of Dhs.1,700/- per month.

SENIOR SEDIMENTOLOGIST

 Purpose and Scope:  

  • Conduct sedimentological, facies, diagenesis and rock typing studies of potential reservoirs within assigned team. Sharing the senior review geologist for further exploration, appraisal and development studies. Works closely with other senior members of the assigned team to promote teamwork and integrate results of sedimentological, facies, diagenesis and reservoir rock type studies with other related team activities. 

  • This includes:

    • Ensuring timely deliverable of sedimentological studies to be implemented in the Full Field Development Plans for the EUFR 1.8 MMbd building blocks as required.  

    • Ensuring timely coordination with other divisions on all sedimentological requirements for COMPANY’s other developed and undeveloped reservoirs as required.

    • Monitors the progress of approved programs, resolves, and trouble shoots operational and technical problems as they arise.

    • Ensuring the execution of an optimum data gathering program to reduce uncertainties on the undeveloped portfolio being assessed.

    • Interfaces with shareholders representatives, as necessary, to optimize programs.

    • Provides training and knowledge transfer to young U.A.E. nationals and others in the team.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum Master Degree in Geology.

  • Minimum 15 years varied experience in sedimentology, preferably in appraisal and development environment, including a minimum of 8 years working with carbonate reservoirs. Extensive understanding and experience in both Sequence Stratigraphic concepts and application is required.

  • Very good knowledge of English and excellent communication skills

DRILLING SUPERVISOR - (IRAQ)

Purpose and Scope:

  • Carries out all drilling engineering duties related to assigned area rigs.

  • Prepares drilling proposals and on-site, surface and down-hole equipment requirements.

  • Directs contractors in cementing operations according to programme requirements and regularly revises directional and / or side tracking surveys to establish drilling routes.

  • Provides drilling engineering expertise and carries out technical monitor to ensure drilling operations are optimized.

  • Prepares annual drilling schedules detailing the most economical route for rig movements, and assists in the preparation of the annual drilling budgets.

  • Meets with rig staff on regular basis to review safety problems, new ideas and suggestions.

  • Leads discussions aimed at resolving problems related to equipment, personnel, clothing and the like and incorporates results into procedures where appropriate.

  • Reviews tools reports and manuals and ensures that drilling personnel are advised accordingly.

 Minimum Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, plus completion of various short specialised courses in Drilling/Cementing/Drilling fluid technology and blowout prevention methods.

  • 8 years drilling engineering experience with specific emphasis on cementation, fluid technology and blow-out prevention techniques and methods.

  • Very good knowledge in English.

Salary & Other Benefits:

  • Salary: 400 USD per working day, negotiable.

  • The working location is in Halfaya contract area in Iraq, around 200km to the north of Basrah.

  • Work cycle is 4 weeks working (12 hrs per day) / 4 weeks rotation leave.

  • The company is responsible for visa, work permit, medical insurance, life insurance, etc.
