LEGAL TRANSLATOR
Basic function:
-
Provides
professional, up to the highest standard various required English and
Arabic translation, communication and editorial services throughout the
Company.
-
Scope of
work encompasses constant flow of a wide range of Company incoming,
outgoing and internal correspondence, media and mass communication and
editorial activities with a broad spectrum of official, technical,
legal, journalistic and routine nature.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in English language from a well reputable and
accredited university.
-
Over 10
years experience in the translation and editorial field with major
industrial concern including five years in the hydrocarbon industry.
-
Excellent command of both English and Arabic languages.
-
Certified Legal Translation License from the UAE Ministry of Justice.
-
Conversant with PC and micro soft office applications.

SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
Basic function:
-
Plans,
creates and administers Application projects in Oracle Designer 10g to
be used by various users. Controls repository ownership and developers
privileges.
-
Devises
and writes down projects database development standards using Oracle
Designer 10g.
-
Advises
on the best Business Data Modeling approach for new projects.
Follow-up/validates the development of the data / Functional models for
each business area. Ensures repository documentation completeness as per
the standards.
-
Fine
tunes the database generated design as per best practice and
performance. Coordinates the implementation of the design refinements
with the application development teams and advises on necessary
amendments to the application code.
-
Advises/assists in developing complex SQL queries by application
developers for optimal performance.
-
Identifies/maintains data sharing rules between business units, resolves
the areas of overlapping responsibility for such data and persuades each
units to accept the set responsibility according to business needs.
-
Creates
and maintains a development, a user acceptance and a production database
environment for each application.
-
Advises
on best configuration for production database services for optimum
performance.
-
Monitors
databases performance and reviews design aspects periodically to ensure
efficient throughput and optimum response time.

Runs
explain-plan and other tools for analyzing complex SQL queries and
advices on changes to improve the performance and speed up the statement
result.
-
Decides
on/performs complex production database objects, load balancing,
de-fragmenting, etc., to improve performance.
-
Investigates and advises on database changes requested by Company users.
Plans, carries out and coordinates the implementation of complex
database exercises/releases.
-
Carries
out quality control checks on proposed solutions to data fixes and
advises on improvements.
-
Develops
and implements various database house keeping scripts on Windows, UNIX
and LINUX platforms.
-
Writes
comprehensive procedures for automating database regular exercises.
-
Plans
and manages all database related physical resource
requirements/enhancements and follows up acquisition.
-
Reviews
new products compatibility issues and possible solutions for potential
problems. Adopts an optimum approach for resolving each incompatibility
area.
-
Performs/tests the upgraded or newly installed database software.
Advises on other database related software upgrades.
-
Advises
system support on server specific configuration for RDBMS and
development tools and advices client support engineers on the client
related configuration.
-
Migrates
the database environments across servers for various technical
requirements.
-
Converts/Transfers database objects between different RDBMS (e.g. From
MS Access to SQL-Server or to Oracle).
-
Advises
on database backup and recovery strategy and ensures technical support
staff's adherence to the planned strategy.
-
Advises
system support on restoration and recovery requirements when needed.
-
Advises
on historical data archival and purging.
-
Assists
developers in tracing/debugging Oracle errors produced from various
tools. Advises solutions and coordinates implementation.
-
Coordinates the contacts between Company users utilizing database
external packages and the package vendors regarding database related
problems.
-
Devices
and implements a robust DRP strategy for the critical applications
databases.
-
Protects
corporate data including; Gathering and documentation security
requirements, designing and documenting security plans,
implementing/enforcing security regulations, continuously maintaining
and improving security standards in response to industry developments
and user experience.
-
Determines the policy for database objects security and integrity in
environment. Audits database systems to internal/external auditors in
the area of data manipulation & verifications.
-

Minimum Requirements:

Basic function:

Leads
and coordinates the activities of the group in preparation and
maintenance of flexible and cost effective plans.

Directs
and monitors the translation of Gas division strategy and vision into
measurable business objectives and process value chain in alignment with
company best practices while adhering to Gas Division organizational
culture.

Leads
the establishment of quality and performance improvement framework that
creates value from managing knowledge-based strategies that deploy the
assets within the organization, such as, employee competencies, customer
relationship, company guidelines, strategies, business processes,
information technologies, data base and management actions.

This
include a procedural framework providing guidelines and standards
within, which gas division critical business processes, key performance
indicators, business risks and uncertainties can be identified and
continuously managed.

Ensures
optimal appraisal, development of work programs and expenditure
forecasts for the Gas division business plan, consistent with company
guidelines on expenditure and production levels are delivered in the
5-year the business plan.
Minimum Requirements:

varied experience in Drilling, Production, petroleum, project

CORROSION ENGINEER
Basic function:
-
The job
holder will have a considerable degree of technical knowledge of either
Corrosion Control and/or Inspection to enable for resolution of
technical or personnel conflict. He/She is expected to supervise staff
and contractors making independent decisions within broad guidelines and
contributes to policy, procedures, objectives and projects
-
The
incumbent will establishes work procedures when and if necessary and
provide guidance and technical assistance to others.

Incumbent in this level will be expected to perform key tasks such as
the following:

Monitor overall condition of equipment, prepare and present reports
on performance findings, including evaluation of life expectancy,
and similar aspects to achieve a predictive maintenance strategy.
Investigate technical problems and prepare report with
recommendations.

Recommend optimum inspection and corrosion control programs.
-
Participate in technical reviews, including new technology
evaluation.

Conduct trend analysis, failure analysis and determine fitness for
purpose for plant and equipment.

Review and endorse inspection reports, recommendations and
participate in commissioning activities. Evaluate modifications/
retrofits and improvements to ensure asset integrity.

Interface with other divisions/departments and co-ordinate work
scope.
Minimum Requirements:

The
incumbent at this level is expected to have BSc. Engineering, or
equivalent, in required discipline.
-
With
8-10 years experience, 5 years relevant experience at a senior position
in a supervisory capacity, technical knowledge of relevant international
codes and standards, technical knowledge of repair welding procedures,
thorough knowledge of corrosion mitigation and monitoring.

Computer
literate in appropriate software and posses good analytical and
communication/ interpersonal skills.

INVENTORY ANALYST
Basic function:
-
Perform
various activities to stock control system, including planning,
controlling and re-ordering of stock items to support operational demand
in accordance with established stock control policies and procedures.

Carryout
regular analytical reviews of stock to identify surplus, obsolete,
redundant items and / or corrects stock controlling data.
Minimum Requirements:

CAMS/CAS CONTROLLER
Basic function:
-
Assist
in the development and training of the developees.
-
Working
as part of a team the successful candidate will assist in the training
and development of engineers, technicians, operators and other staff
undergoing a comprehensive and structured competency development
programme.
-
These
competency development programmes are based on the Comapny CAMS
(competence Assurance Management System) and CAS (Competence Assurance
System).
-
The
successful candidate should be able to coordinate the assessments and
observations of developees.
-
Ensure
the quality of assessment and verification process.
-
Close
monitoring of developees progression and recommend remedial action
accordingly.
-
Liaise
with technical trainers, engineers, technicians, operators and assessors
in various issues related to CAMS/CAS policies.
-
Ensures
that the CAMS/CAS graduates, technician and operators are attending the
various courses as per schedule.
-
Work in
close association with Technical Trainers to ensure that the CAMS KPIs
are met.
-
Play
supportive role in SVQ Accreditation.
-
Perform
the role of Observer where applicable.
-
Prepare
presentations and associated material concerned with CAMS/CAS.
-
Assist
with induction programmes of new employees, particularly under CAMS/CAS.
-
Any
other duties as directed by the Technical Training Team Leader.

TECHNICAL TRAINER
(MILLWRIGHT)
Basic function:
-
Responsible for the development and implementation of training and
systems to support the Company competence development programme for
engineers, and technicians.
-
He will
be required to assist in the design and production of suitable training
support material to ensure that the competence development programme
quality standards are maintained and that there is uniformly in the
delivery of high standards of training which includes both on and off
the job training.
-
The
successful candidate should also be able to Coach the developees
(Engineers and Technicians) in both theoretical and practical activities
as defined within the company competency frame work and plan and
follow-up the work based activities appropriate to the development of
their skills and knowledge.
-
Possess
multi skills on machining operations, fabrication, welding, rigging and
scaffolding, boiler maker on workshop environment in oil and gas
industry.

Must be
proficient in dismantling major mechanical equipments and systems in
major workshop.
-
In
collaboration with other Training Centre staff, design and produce a
comprehensive system for ensuring that the practical competence of the
workforce is developed to the required standards.

Deliver
'short sharp' practical courses which emphasis the acquisition of
practical skills.
-
Design,
produce and deliver practical material for remedial work as identified
by GAP analysis.
-
In close
cooperation with the developees and the input of line team members and
other Training Centre staff, develop and produce personal development
plans, service level agreement and personal development records for
developees.

Maintain
good working relationship with other training centre staff.
-
Observe
and monitor competence checks of individual developees.
-
In
consultation with line closely monitor the rotation of developees and
the effectiveness of the training.

Track
the progress of developees and produce reports are required.

SENIOR PETROLEUM ENGINEER
Basic function:

To carry
out conceptual engineering and optimization studies in order to define
engineering projects in terms of technical scope, costs and execution.

prepare budget proposals for the projects.

participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises and HAZOP
studies.

To
liaise with the Petroleum and Reservoir engineers of the Asset Teams
(both new & existing developments) and operations to identify

ensure that the production programs can be achieved within the
facilities constrains and to provide expertise in the review and
optimization of the existing production facilities.

OPERATIONS ENGINEER
Basic function:
-
Supervises, monitors and controls the safe and efficient operations for
the receipt, storage, measurement and loading of crude oil.
-
Directs
regular crude oil sampling and testing to ensure crude specifications
are adhered to.
-
Coordinates maintenance and shutdown requirements to ensure operation of
assigned facilities is running smoothly and in synch with export
requirements liaises with various parties inside and outside Company to
coordinate import/export activities including field operations, oil
movement, SPC, Ruwais Refinery, ship agents, shipmasters, loading
contractors, independent surveyors, etc.

Supervises the timely preparation of a variety of activity reports and
documentation.

Assists
in developing the department's capital and operating budget and monitors
expenditure.

Ensures
all work is carried out in accordance with HSE rules and regulations.
-
Ensures
that subordinates are fully familiar with HSE requirements and
procedures, and that HSE rules are strictly observed.

Takes
charge of operations in case of emergencies and contacts emergency team
as soon as possible.
-
Terminal
oil and loading installations include 4 MOL's 16 crude oil storage tanks
with a capacity of 8.7 million barrels gross, 3 oil gravity lines, 5
loading pumps driven by gas turbines, 4 banks of positive displacement
meters, 2 prover loops, 4 auto samplers, 2 conventional bouy mooring and
2 single point mooring berths, 25-45 tanks are loading each month.

MAINTENANCE ENGINEER/MECHANICAL
Basic function:
-
Supervises the execution of day to day preventive and corrective
maintenance activities related to mechanical plant and equipment in
assigned field, covering gas turbine units and multi stage surface
pumps, products process plant, diesel engines mobile plant, air
compressors, heavy equipment, fire equipment, valves, water and sewage
treatment plant, workshop machines and lifting equipment and any other
mechanical plant and equipment in assigned field.
-
This
includes generating preventive and corrective maintenance work orders,
setting priorities, determining appropriate standard procedures,
ensuring availability of required materials spares and equipment,
assigning subordinates, liaising with operations to release equipment
and plant and with other maintenance supervisors to coordinate work
activities, endorses necessary work orders and work permits, and
supervising the actual execution of work on site and or in workshop.

Investigates and troubleshoots maintenance problems, implements the
company's permit to work procedures.
-
Supervises all maintenance work carried out in the mechanical workshop
and ensures availability and operability of all workshop machines and
equipment.
-
Liaises
with the work planning personnel on timely updating of related
maintenance activities in the 3Ms system.
-
Ensures
that company HSE policies, procedures and programs are implemented and
strictly adhered to in his area of responsibility.

SENIOR SYSTEM SUPPORT INSTRUCTOR
Basic function:

Recommends the best approach to re-designing existing training and
educational materials and suggest alternative means of accomplishing
that task.

should be experience in the development and delivery of new course
content in an instructor led or virtual classroom environment and
e-learning.
-
Assists
the commercial and maintenance SSSE in analyzing and modifications to
existing End-User training strategy.
-
Assist
in the preparation of training program and budgets.
-
Assist
in the development of standard and new "Help" or "How-Do-I" queries that
support and reflect the approved work processes for operations,
maintenance, commercial and finance and any other future user groups.

Plans
and controls MAXIMO training activity in company by administrating the
Learning Management System and coordination with MAXIMO coaches.
Minimum Requirements:

B.Sc. or
Engineering degree.
-
Total of
8-10 years of Oil & Gas Industry business experience, 3 years of which
should have included sufficient experience in the instruction of
computerized maintenance & material management systems (CMMS).
-
Proficient in Office 2000, 2003 or XP products, Windows NT or 2003,
Apple OSX.
-
Proficient in or have experience with on-line course management systems
e-learning, learning management systems, and the ability to quickly
learn new software.
-
Ability
to adapt to and support new and fast changing technologies.
-
Very
good knowledge and command of spoken and written English.
-
Basic
web design skills a must. (HTML, Flash, .Net, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Java Scripting and XMS a plus).

TRANSLATOR
Basic function:
-
Provides accurate translation of technical, commercial and legal
documents from English to Arabic and vice versa.
-
Assists in the preparation of Company's communications and publications,
i.e., letters, memos, reports, booklets, brochures, magazines, etc, in
both English and Arabic.

Proofreads, edits and revises translated material.
-
Liaises with publishers in the production of company in-house magazines,
brochures, booklets, and annual reports.
-
Protects confidentiality of translated documents.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Must
have a Bachelor degree in English Literature (or equivalent) followed by
a specialized training in translation from English to Arabic & Vice
versa.

MS
Office software skills.
-
Excellent typing speed in both languages.
