Contracts Engineer:
Duties:
Directs and controls the provision of centralized contract
development activities to meetin a cost effective, timely and efficient
manner all Company’s technical, construction, general services and manpower
supply contracting requirements, pertaining to the Department. Handles
more complex and high value contracts as assigned. In respect of these
jobs, develops contract for department and recommends qualification/
evaluation criteria and negotiation strategies. Coordinates with and
advises on various contractual and commercial matters in the field.
Evaluates claims/ requests for contract variations and maintains follow up
until closeout of contract file.
Minimum requirements:

Sc. in an engineering discipline. Additional qualification in Business

MANAGER, ADMIN DEPARTMENT
Purpose of the job:
Coordinates recruitment of staff, processing of their
security passes, visas and other similar activities for employees
and their families. Interprets and ensures consistent application of
the company’s personnel and other HR policies at RRD with
Direct-Hire Staff of over 1140. Coordinates medical services of
staff such as processing of Health Cards for employees and their
families, annual checkup, appointment, followup and observation of
employees’ well being and welfare.
Plans,
coordinates and directs the HR & Admin. Activities in the department
in processing employee related activities as well as the provision
of general services i.e. Transportation, printing, mails,
stationary, office supplies, office allocation and furniture,
beverages & catering for all RRD Employees & Hostelling. Manages
cleaning and horticulture services for the division that includes
Ruwais Refinery, GUP, Sulphur Plant, all jetties and Admin.
Buildings.
Plans and
controls the collection and compilation of manpower data from
various departments. Also oversees the preparation of the
departmental capital and operating budgets. Manages security of the
entire RRD facilities including implementing of ISPS by proper
control system, patrolling & monitoring the entire RRD facilities.
Coordinates various activities with the government’s western region
agencies including police, oil Field security and Trafic Police in

Development Engineer
BASIC
FUNCTION:
Prepares or reviews design work for small to medium

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

RELIABILITY COST ENGINEER
1. Basic Function
1.1 Directs
and participates in the provision of various technical
advisory services within the Maintenance Department in all
aspects of cost control, statistical analysis, planning,
scheduling, reporting and cost control of all kinds of
schedule maintenance, un-schedule maintenance and predictive
maintenance including modular shutdowns and major
turnarounds. Provides specialized technical guidance and
support to field engineers & supervisors in developing and
updating of predictive/preventive maintenance programs and
ensures proper implementation of feed back systems.

Identifies requirements and implements solutions for the
development of computer based maintenance management system.
Collects and analyses Reliability/availability data,
ownership and analyses of planned maintenance database
including recommendations for changes and additions,

plan for the department, Monitors HSE talks, Conducts HSE

SENIOR INDUSTRIAL HYGIENIST
Job
Purpose & Scope:
The Industrial Hygienist is to evaluate health
hazards; research health’s effects/risk assessments, and manage or
consult health programs. He anticipates, recognizes, evaluates and
advises on controls of health risks in the industry, to promote the
wellbeing of the employees and contractors, in line with company HSE
policy.
Main
Duties/Accountabilities:

Develop Industrial Hygiene Plan / Programme for HQ,ADRD and RRD
Refineries according to the HSEMS and inline with company code of
practice and in coordination with the senior Occupational Health
Specialist

Identify and evaluate chemical, physical and biological agents by
measurements and collection of samples and analyzing test results.

SENIOR LAB CHEMIST
Purpose of the job:
Supervises all activities of the Day, Shift, ATK,
Water, Sulphur, Octane, BeAAT, GUP & Analytical laboratories.
Monitors performance of special analyses and studies required for an
effective quality control testing programme for good operational
control of various process units / plants. Certifies finished
products for export.
Co-ordinates with senior Operation and Production
Planning staff and Process and Inspection Engineers for analysis
schedules of on-stream samples, unscheduled samples, quality
control, test runs, shutdown, startup, corrosion control and
technical surveys. Reviews daily lab test results of the concerned
labs for any abnormalities.
Provides expertise as needed for the development of
test methods, equipment lay-outs, and best Laboratory practices for
upcoming projects. Also evaluates and provides technical advice to
project department in the selection process of new analyzer & other
Laboratory set up.
Typical Experience /
Knowledge required for the job :
1. B.Sc. in
Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
2. 9 years
experience in a petroleum refinery laboratory with a wide range of
knowledge in quality control, internationally established standard
test methods / testing techniques and instrumental analysis,
research applicable in particular to testing of crude oil /
condensate & petroleum products, of which at least 4 years should
have been in a supervisory position.

SENIOR LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Supervises the activities carried out by the assigned
Lab. Technicians and Sample Collectors and renders assistance to the
assigned Lab. Technician. Reviews all testing techniques and
analysis results and prepares Laboratory reports.
Carries out analyses on all Refinery samples such as
crude oils, intermediate and finished petroleum products, utility
water samples, lube oil samples, scales and sludge from different

SENIOR PILOT ENGINEER
Purpose of the Job:
•
Coordinates and supervises on the pilot plant operation of
diversified and critical in a safe and efficient manner to ensure
smooth operations. Coordinates periodic checks, adjustments and
maintains follow-up on all maintenance activities in pilot plants.
•
Conducts studies and evaluations of new technologies on pilot plant
and catalyst to contribute to company’s operation and research &
development.

Develops new catalyst testing methods by cooperating with catalyst
